Our Lady of Fatima Academy meets The Varmits!

Our Lady of Fatima Academy welcomed John Lamb in March to read The Varmits to their K-6 classes.  The day was a big hit with the kids, who returned to school the next day and asked if Mr. Lamb would be back again soon. Haha!

Before the reading, the kids watched the Zevely Zone interview of John and Elvis, which they really enjoyed. With the reading finished, the kids had a lot of great questions. John signed books, and every kid received a lady bug sticker. One kid proclaimed "I don't want to be a varmit!" Mission accomplished!

The Varmits was read to K-2nd graders at Stuart Mesa, celebrating their annual bookfair during Read Across America week. Six readings were full of energetic students who had many great questions! Special thanks to Angela Cruz who really made the day special for students, John and The Varmits!

The kids arrived excited about the book reading with many questions like "why does the ladybug wear sunglasses?" "where did he get his shoes?" "how did you make this art?" and "how old are you?" John really appreciated their curiosity, and donated The Varmits  books to the Stuart Mesa School library.
